Amy’s interest in human anatomy and physiology, as well as her passion for helping others, led her to pursue a career in massage therapy.

Amy finished the RMT program in June 2016, graduating with honors. During her 2 years of studies, Amy had the opportunity to participate in several outreach programs, which included working with senior citizens, women with high-risk pregnancies, patients living with terminal illnesses, and athletes.

After having practiced massage therapy in Nova Scotia for a year and a half, Amy returned to her hometown of Abbotsford and joined the Apollo Clinic.

Amy’s ultimate goal is to make an impact on people’s lives by working with and supporting her patients in their quest towards a healthier, more active lifestyle. With her training in a wide variety of massage techniques (deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, advanced fascial techniques, joint mobilizations, sports massage, pregnancy massage, muscle energy techniques, Swedish relaxation massage and therapeutic exercise), she collaborates with her patients to form treatment plans that will decrease pain, restore function and prevent dysfunction. Amy firmly believes that balance is the key to achieving a wellness goal, and she strives to educate her patients on the importance of properly managing all aspects of their lives, including: stress levels, diet, exercise, work and play.
